I too have a birth mother who I am now in close contact with. You have very eligantly capsulized the experience. All of us carry within ourselves a part of the parents who birthed us. Small gestures and reactions that are unconscience mirror that of our parents, but our attitudes, philosophies, and joy are defined by those who raised us. We need to celebrate both. Your life was enriched by all that provided to it. I am glad you took the moment to grieve; to acknowledge the small contribution she gave to your life. I am also glad that you recognize the larger contribution of your great grandparents, dad, and stepmom. God go with you. Glenn:
